Océ announces availability of ICC profiles for Océ solvent media
Chicago, USA, 7 March 2006— Océ, a global leader in digital document management and delivery solutions, today announced the availability of ICC (International Color Consortium) profiles for Océ solvent media, for use with new Eco-Solvent Ultra Ink recently released by Mutoh. The profiles can be used with a variety of Océ solvent media in Mutoh printers.
Mutoh's new Eco-Solvent Ultra Ink is shipping with all Mutoh Falcon™ solvent printers, and is available for Mutoh Toucan® LT and LT Board solvent printers. According to Mutoh, the new ink offers faster drying times, higher density, wider color gamut, and broader uncoated media support than the previous ink. Océ is one of the first media suppliers to support the new ink by creating and providing free profiles for Océ solvent media. Profiles are currently available for the below four Océ solvent media:
- Océ Solvent Photopaper (PPSATSOL): A 6 mil satin photo paper designed to produce brilliant colors and high image resolution with solvent inkjet printers. This media is intended for indoor use
- Océ Economical Adhesive Backed Vinyl (ESAVSOL): A 3.5 mil promotional calendered vinyl with permanent self adhesive, this material offers an expected outdoor durability of up to one year
- Océ Scrim Banner Single Sided with Blockout (HSCRMSOL): Long life with exceptional weather resistance is a primary feature of this 16-oz. durable banner offering. It is designed for pole and over-the-street-banners with an expected outdoor durability of up to 18 months
- Océ Scrim Banner Double Sided with Blockout (LCRMSOL): This 12-oz. smooth, micro-textured scrim banner offers 100% opacity for double-sided printing and viewing. It is designed for indoor and outdoor use with an expected durability rating of up to one year
Profiles for the remaining Océ solvent media line will be added as they become available. ICC profiles for the media listed above are available for download now from www.oceusa.com/imagingsupplies. Additional profiles for the entire range of Océ solvent media will be added when ready.
