Océ launches QuiQ Controller for Océ Digital Colour Presses

Strong asset for Asian markets

Venlo, The Netherlands, 11 april 2007 — Océ today announced the Founder QUIQ controller as a new front-end to its Océ CPS900 and CPS800 Digital Colour Presses. This controller is based on proven Founder technology, with strong roots in Graphic Arts workflow, and particularly strong abilities in handling double-byte fonts, such as Chinese. It provides professional users with an attractive price/performance controller option for the Océ CPS900 and CPS800 systems.

This new front-end system is one of the results of the strategic partnership between Océ and Founder Electronics, which was announced at Océ's OpenHouse event on 6 March 2007. Founder's nation-wide sales organisation will sell Océ's printing systems in the high volume printing and graphic arts markets and Océ will include Founder's controllers in Océ printing systems. 
  
The QUIQ controller is built around the same RIP and colour management technology in Founder's high-end EasiPrint and ElecRoc offset workflow systems. It features a streamlined operation with easy-to-use job tickets. It can be easily integrated in a full Founder workflow or in any Graphic Arts or other workflow environment. It will be available in localised versions in English, Chinese and Japanese.

The QUIQ controller will be available as from June 2007, and will initially be launched to the South-East Asian markets.
